A Mermaid's Tail

Who and what Dyesebel is, is no longer a secret. Now the problem becomes: how to take her away from the cruel hands of Betty.

Here’s a recap of what has happened on Mars Ravelo’s Dyesebel

The mermaid Dyesebel fell in love with the human Fredo, a businessman with daddy issues—a lot of daddy issues. Now, Fredo falls in love with the idea of Dyesebel, a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart. The problem is: he doesn't know who Dyesebel is and how to find her. But now, no girl can equal the beauty or the kindness of Dyesebel.

Which is well and good for Dyesebel, because she has found a way to get to land: exchange her beauty for a pair of legs. Now, she has a problem. How can Fredo see the beauty of her heart, when all that is apparent is the mold on her face?

But Fredo manages to fall in love with her nonetheless—and his fiancée Betty is definitely not happy. But she fell into a coma after discovering Dyesebel's secret, so she should no longer be a problem. Except that she is, because Betty woke up and remembers everything. Every single thing. Including the part where Dyesebel is actually a mermaid.

Of course Dyesebel is afraid. After battling for Fredo's affection against a power-tripping wannabe princess, which is a whole different story, Dyesebel was sort of ready for her happily-ever-after. Which won't happen now, especially with Betty showing everyone, media included, just what Dyesebel is. And who wouldn't believe her? Dyesebel did transform into a mermaid right before their very eyes—and cameras.

And Fredo doesn't think he can accept her still; his father Don Juan doesn't want anything to do with her, and she's being dropped as the model of Juan Fredo Empire, so naturally Fredo shouldn't think of her anymore. But he still does, and he's freaking out.

Betty's freaking out too. She thought Fredo would see the horror of Dyesebel and fall back in love with her. But her plan isn't exactly working out. And then it turns out that Ava, Fredo's stepmother, is actually the real mother of Dyesebel. And the woman will resort to anything to keep her daughter safe. So Betty's in trouble, sort of. Just not as deep a trouble as Dyesebel is, who's now being experimented on.
