An Unusual Parting

Cakes are wonderful companions for any occasion; they comfort you when you’re heartbroken; they make happy days more memorable; and when you’re a chef, they can make you forget everything else when you bake. And for Kim Samsoon Buot, forgetting is exactly what she needs.

Hannah is pregnant with Cyrus’s child, or so everyone thinks. Just when Samsoon and Cyrus thought they were getting their happily-ever-after, Hannah returns to wreak havoc in their lives. And this time, she succeeds. Samsoon decides to leave Cyrus, telling him that she can’t compete with a child—his child. And after a talk with his mother, Cyrus relents.

Samsoon decides to seek her own happily-ever-after with Vincent. And though the latter knows she can never completely forget Cyrus, he still tells her he can live with it. Samsoon hopes she can learn to love Vincent the way she loved Cyrus.

Chef Dina isn’t one to give up, though. And she will make sure that Cyrus ends up with Samsoon, not Hannah. She knows something is not right with that girl.

And she’s right.
